my week

Happy Wednesday Guys,
My mom finally got around to doing a new blog entry for me. I kept begging her and she was too busy until this morning I finally said "MOM, DO MY BLOG TODAY...OR ELSE" Once I gave her the look she knew I meant business.

This week has been ok. I miss my dad (Clint). He is away in Lubbock for banking school and won't be back until Friday night. Mom has been taking good care of Gwen and I and making sure we are all set before she leaves in the morning for work. She even comes by during lunch sometimes and gives us treats. Gwen keeps digging in the backyard and it is getting on my nerves. I go outside to take a tinkle and I have dust flying in my eyes. Plus, when I get back inside my feet are all nasty from the dirt. Mom went outside and put Cayenne Pepper out there to make her stop. That usually works but GG is pretty persistent. I try to tell her to stop but she doesn't listen to me.

So this weekend Izzy is coming to stay with us for 10 days! My Granna is going out of town to take my Great Aunt Cindy to California. Aunt Cindy just got a new job and will be getting a place there...which means Mom and Dad will be visiting and leaving GG and I behind...whatevs. Anywho, Izzy is going to stay with us and Gwen is ecstatic. They are butt buddies, seriously. As long as they stay away from my treats, food and toys then I am ok with it.

Have you guys heard of Pinterest? I am loving it. Mom pins some great things for my blog...wanna see?

mom needs this for her car and our front window at home....

Hello Everyone.
Im Pecos. Im starting this blog to document my life and loved ones in it. Through my writing you will see what I love, hate, annoys me, and how I keep my beautiful figure.

My story
Im DFW metroplex pooch with a West Texas name. Pecos huh? Well that stands for Pecos, Texas. Mom insisted on me having a West Texas name since we lived in Lubbock for most of my puppy years. Now we live back in the DFW area and I spend my days sleeping, eating, sleeping, eating, and more sleeping. You could call me a "Retired College Dog." I do have a toy basket that I adore and make frequent stops at inbetween naps.

My People

Kindra
This is my mom. She loves me, sometimes a little too much and is a typical "stage mom." She is the reason for my sassy attitude. I get it from her. I whine to get what I want and never get in trouble for it. Believe me when I tell you, I could teach a book on begging and getting what you want. Don't let the wisecracks fool you people, I love my mom and have been described as the "sweetest dog ever." You will read lots about my mom because I like to tell people who special she is to me.

Roxanne
This is my grandma or "granna." Granna took care of me for two whole weeks while mom was at college because I had to get my female parts taken out. She taught me some bad habits along the way...then shipped me off to Lubbock to live with my mom until we finished college. Granna has a doxie named Izzy and I basically put up with her, and sneak her the occasional kiss when nobody is looking. I have to keep up my image people.

Aunt Kim
Aunt Kim is my moms sister and gave me to my mom as an Easter present in 2005. That's right, I was delivered by the Easter Bunny. Aunt Kim has lots of dogs that annoy me and when I go see her I usually just sit on the couch and growl at them for even looking at me. Im just not into it, I know they're my cousins but please..I need my space. Aunt Kim is always telling me I need to exercize. What's that?

Cooper
This is my cousin and Aunt Kim's son. He pulls on my ears, and screams my name everytime he sees my mom (his Aunt K). I sometimes get caught growling at him but you know the drill-when nobody is looking I usually sneak him a lick or two on the cheek.

Clint
Clint is my moms better half and my Dad. He, mom, Gwen and I all live together. More on Gwen later. Clint and I have a very close relationship. I love him because every morning, he takes me outside or lifts the doggy door and then he feeds me my breakfast. (my mom is not a morning person) After I eat, I watch him eat and beg and cry and do the whole scene until he gives me his bowl to lick. He calls it our "bonding time." When we get done with breakfast I usually follow him into the spare bedroom where he irons his shirt.  lay on the floor and watch him and secretly look at myself in the full length mirror. Vain? Not a chance.I like to lay on the couch with him on the weekends and watch the golf channel.

Gwen
Here we go. Gwen is my sister and a 3 year old puggle that basically I have to babysit each day while mom and dad are at work. I never wanted a sister. Im more of an only child type of pooch. I even have a super cute lavendar colored t-shirt that says "Only Child." Gwen and I have become close and I really love her. I do have to distance myself though....you know. Sometimes I sneak some food out of her bowl and I usually get caught. My mom swears she knows the sound of me eating and chewing. Gwen goes by the nicknames of GiGi, GiGi Robs, Gwendolyn, or Gwenyth.
